A Selenophile π
A long day it has been.
Eyes glued to screens and time seemed to freeze.
On a thought of finding something that soothes,
There I moved,
across the walls and out of the nest.
Late in the evening, just as the night begun,
I sat there questioning how mysteriously darker can it get.
Everything's around is a mere shadow covered in black and hard to frame.
As the leaves and trees and barks and bushes look just the same.
Knowing that the night continues to fright,
I shifted my gaze to somewhere far above the heights.
Millions of sparkles around shining at their best, when I see.
Still couldn't match the way you beam, 'The Moon' .
In the lap of my mother,
I heard tales of life and time, looking at you.
Later as I grew, I started sharing my unspoken stories with the same you.
All this time, you were always there hanging in the sky from nowhere since the time ever known.
Now I wonder thinking of the possibility
Of how many countless number of stories have you been hearing!
And since how many countless number of years have you been shining!
The tales of past, even the things time has forgot, You know it all.
Everytime the thought of your existence comes up, I find new reasons to get amazed.
